Those of you wanting to play Minecraft on PlayStation Vita will have to wait a bit longer at least according to 4J Studios. Fans have been waiting for the Vita version for a little while now, and back in August, 4J updated their progress by saying they had more work to do. Today’s update could be different from the rest. Sadly though, it’s pretty much the same as the others. They tweeted, saying ‘We’ll let you know when we hand it over to Sony.’ It seems they’re still working out the kinks and bugs with the Vita version.
It’s hard telling how much longer it’ll be, but at this point, it probably shouldn’t be too long of a wait. In the meantime, at least, you can technically play Minecraft on your Vita by using the PlayStation 4 Edition with the PlayStation 4’s remote play functionality. Minecraft is also available on tons and tons of other platforms, such as PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360, and iOS, just to name a few. Hopefully we’ll have an update on the Vita version in the coming weeks.
