A new dinosaur invested survival game has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC entitled ARK: Survival Evolved. Taking inspiration from games such as DayZ and Rust but without all the cliche undead horror, the game washes players up on the shores of a jungle wilderness, filled with massive creatures, some passive, some very not. Built in Unreal Engine 4, players will need to quickly build shelter, craft weapons, and tame the wilderness if they hope to survive for long in a world that was designed to kill them.
With 60 types of dinosaurs to hunt and/or tame, and tons of crafting options, players will need to either work together to survive, or fight among themselves to reign supreme over the land. Developed by Studio Wildcard, ARK: Survival Explored is slated for Steam Early Access this June 2nd, with Oculus Rift support on PC and more features on the horizon.
