Some of you may recall yesterday when we reported yesterday on the rumor of the Borderlands 2 prequel. Well, it got officially confirmed today! 2K and Gearbox Software have officially confirmed Borderlands 2: The Pre-Sequel and it shall be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in Fall this year.
The game will be set in between the events of Borderlands 1 and 2 and you’re on the moon. You’re also able to explore the Hyperion Space Station alongside this too. The story is set around 4 characters: Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Law Bringer and Fragtrap – a combat built Claptrap. You’re all lieutenants of Handsome Jack’s and you watch him as he creates a name for himself.
We also have some new details for you too. Your oxygen levels will expand at around one point per second and you’re able to replenish your oxygen fully with “Oxzits” which can be found around the world and on enemies. Speaking of enemies, the low gravity on the moon affects not only the characters but also the enemies. A huge blast will send them into space and you’ll be able to stop their oxygen by creating a crack in their helmets or armor, meaning that they will slowly suffocate.
The low oxygen level also means that your characters will find it hard to travel around the world, but not to fear as you get given jet packs. Jet packs in space!
