The two men who co-lead working on The Last of Us, a title that won its fair share of awards, will be taking the lead together once more for Uncharted 4, as was revealed to Game Informer by Naughty Dog’s co-president, Evan Wells. When it came to The Last of Us, Straley took the role of game director while Druckmann served as creative director. Both will be taking the place of Amy Hennig, who left the company to help work on a Star Wars title with Visceral Games.
Some might raise a brow at the changes, wondering if this might change the way Uncharted 4 is delivered. Luckily, both Straley and Druckmann worked on the PlayStation 3 Uncharted titles, giving them that edge when it comes to Uncharted 4. Druckmann helped write both Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted: Among Thieves. Straley, on the other hand, was game director for Uncharted 2 and art director for Uncharted.
