Doctor Strange

Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange’ to Appear in Netflix ‘Iron Fist’ Series?

Marvel’s Doctor Strange could show up in more places than just the solo film, which will be in theaters on November 4, 2016.

In an unconfirmed rumor, Bleeding Cool notes that Benedict Cumberbatch will appear as Doctor Strange in the upcoming Iron Fist series, which hits Netflix in 2016.

There is some evidence to support the rumored guest star. The mystical sides of the characters mesh well, they’re both Marvel, and Marvel loves to drop cameos and easter eggs.

We don’t know when exactly Iron Fist is happening, considering Daredevil just hit earlier this month on the monthly subscription streaming service. Jessica Jones is underway with filming and it could be nearly a year until we see it on Netflix. We could assume Iron Fist will follow Jessica Jones, finishing up with The Defenders as the fourth series in the Marvel lineup.

Doctor Strange’s appearance could be visual,  or it may also be a voice-over somewhere within the series. It will be interesting to see how Marvel will intersect its various story arcs. How do you think this Doctor Strange appearance should mystify Netflix?

Doctor Strange will be in theaters on November 4, 2016. Daredevil is on Netflix now (renewed for season 2), and Jessica Jones is currently filming.
