Don’t hold back any more Epcot, just let it go! Disney is now in the works with building a Frozen themed attraction for the theme park in Florida. The attraction will be placed in the Norway Pavillion and the construction has officially started. In case you’re thinking what is there, the Maelstrom will be replaced, which is not a problem at all.
“We’ve made ‘Frozen’ a part of the guest experience in a number of ways already and our guests have both loved them and asked for more,” announced Tom Staggs, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman. “So I’m pleased to say that we’re starting construction at Walt Disney World Resort on a brand new ‘Frozen’ attraction at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot.”
Just when guests least expect it, “The pavilion will also include a royal greeting location where [lead characters] Anna and Elsa can meet our guests,” he added. “We think these ‘Frozen’ elements are great compliments to the Norway Pavilion, which showcases the country and region that inspired the film.”
All this seems completely workable considering the Disney film grossed over $1.27 billion in the box office worldwide. We’re not sure when the attraction will finish, but since construction has already begun, we hope by spring.
