We had hoped this deal would go through as the series gained more guest stars and a few other details emerged from the 1940s. What we now know includes the man who played Howard Stark in “Iron Man 2”. It makes a lot of sense seeing as Howard was from the same time frame and did a lot to create Stark Industries. Perhaps we will get to see a little of that, the business going up and what he is leaving behind for Tony. We have also learned that James D’Arcy will be playing the butler, Edwin Jarvis.

Agent Carter Spotted in “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Marvel made the official announcement: “Cooper first played Tony Stark’s father in Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” before returning for a cameo at the end of “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter,” and now Cooper will reunite with star Hayley Atwell for “Marvel’s Agent Carter.”

“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell, follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.”

We now have a good idea about what Agent Carter will be working with when she has her show sometime this winter, when Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on hiatus. Check back for more updates as they come our way!
