Super Smash Bros. on the 3DS has been pushed back to Oct. 3, announced today during the Nintendo Digital event. Reasoning behind the delay was to straighten out some kinks and add a slew of mini games. The event confirmed Home Run Contest was returning, among others.
Other announcements included the introduction of new battlers: Mii Brawler, Mii Swordsman, Mii Gunners and Palutena from Kid Icarus. Mii characters will be customizable so “anyone can play” director Sakurai stated during the event.
The Wii U version still has a launch date set for the 2014 holiday season.
