Evan Peters as Quicksilver

Evan Peters May be Back as Quicksilver in X-Men Apocalypse

The apocalypse is full of news.

Evan Peters has definitely stumbled into Nerdom immortality with his Quicksilver time-bending scene in the recent X-Men Days of Future Past. Many fans were disappointed that his character and powers weren’t included in more of the film. However, according to Peters, audiences may be treated to Quicksilver again in X-men Apocalypse.

In an interview with I Am Rogue, Peters had this to say about whether he was on board for Bryan Singer’s X-Men Sequel.

“I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not supposed to say,” the actor answered, adding, “I haven’t seen a script.”

That sounds like a yes to me. Although, it’s certainly plausible that an official announcement of Peters’ officially joining the cast is under wraps and forthcoming.

This is of course a whole separate affair from Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver, set to appear in the upcoming Avengers Age of Ultron this spring. We can have two different actors and styles of Quicksilver in concurrent movie series can’t we?

X-Men Apocalypse arrives in theaters May 27, 2016.
