Bob Iger, Walt Disney Co.’s head was recently given the chance to test drive a prototype of a new ride that will be part of Avatar Land at the Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
The new part of the park will include a ride where you’ll get to ride on the back of an Ikran, or banshees as the humans called them. Iger describes it as incredible and unlike anything seen before, with the apparatus mimicking the motion and wildness of the ikran themselves. Although it will supposedly be like the other indoor, screen coasters like Amazing Spiderman at Universal Studios.
James Cameron, the director of the currently only Avatar film collaborated with Disney on planning and designing the expansion to the Animal Kingdom. Pandora Land will be the biggest expansion to that part of the park since it opened in 1998.
