Jason Momoa as Aquaman

Jason Momoa Opens Up About Standalone Aquaman Film, Justice League

We recently brought you Jason Momoa’s impressive Game of Thrones audition for the role of Khal Drogo. Now, Momoa has moved on to another adventure in his role as Aquaman in Batman V. Superman.

The Justice League will feature Aquaman to an extent, with potential for a standalone film down the line. It would seem that, for now, Momoa is in the dark just as much as we are. At a recent appearance at the Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta, Momoa said, “I don’t know the director. I know about as much as you guys know. I know the Justice League will come first. That’s really what we’re going to focus on. I’m not sure if it will be [set] prior to Justice League, or post. I don’t know too much about it. It will probably be where he came from. It will probably be his whole origin story I would think…I mean I don’t even want to get quoted on this shit. So I know we’re going to do Justice League first.”

Warner Bros. DC Comic Book Movie Lineup Revealed?

If Aquaman stays on track, it should be hitting theaters in 2018 along with Flash. Momoa doesn’t even know when filming begins but guessed “it will be like 2016 or 2017, so there’s plenty of time.”

Yes there is. Aquaman news will be posted here on ATE as it develops!
