Many have noticed that much of Marvel/Disney’s Avengers: Age of Ultron officially-licensed merchandise is missing a key member of the Avengers team. Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson) was inexplicably left out of the lion’s share of the Ultron merchandise, including toys, apparel and other items. In response, a #WheresNatasha hashtag has emerged on Twitter.
@Marvel @Target You have the entire team — including Hawkeye and Ultron, but no Black Widow? #WheresNatasha? pic.twitter.com/dMQO4Gav1a

Now, fans aren’t the only ones speaking out about the oversight. The Hulk himself (a.k.a. Mark Ruffalo) has weighed in on the controversy. Ruffalo tweeted Marvel to call them out on the lack of female representation in their Ultron merchandise line:
.@Marvel we need more #BlackWidow merchandise for my daughters and nieces. Pretty please.

When giant green superheroes talk, does Marvel listen? While we wait for an answer to that question, be sure to check out Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters on May 1st.
