After being announced on Amazon UK, NetherRealm have officially announced Mortal Kombat X and it will be released in 2015. While there are no official platforms spoken about, the retail listing shows that it’s coming to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
The official announcement trailer reads “Fuelled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience.”
The official listing has been taken down and didn’t show any sort of information other than the release date. A poster also appeared online showing an x-ray with a broken spine quoting the words “Who’s Next?” with a new and improved Mortal Kombat logo.
The trailer, which is below for you to watch, features two of the most famous MK characters, Sub Zero and Scorpion, fighting to the death in a snow filled forest. The trailer also shows the background being interactive – like Injustice: Gods Among Us. If this will be included in the game, we shall see.
