New Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Videos Introduce A Sea of Clouds

This morning producer and director Naoki Yoshida introduced Final Fantasy XIV players to a helping of new details surrounding the upcoming expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. Taking players to the northern citystate of Ishgard and the expanses of untamed land that await them, Heavensward introduces the addition of flying mounts to the MMORPG, as well as a whole host of other features including a raised level cap, new abilities, three new jobs, and a story said to be just as large as the original game.

In these new videos, we get a look at not only the new job abilities for all classes, but also a look into the new dungeons as well as a trailer featuring the full theme song Dragonsong, written by series veteran and Japanese music legend Nobuo Uematsu and featuring returning vocalist Susan Calloway. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is set for release next month on June 23rd for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Mac, with preorders for the PS4/PS3/PC version allowing access to early access on June 19th.
