Bethesda have released brand new screenshots for their new horror title The Evil Within today, which focuses more on the game’s eerie environments rather than the crazy amount of blood and gore shots we’ve seen from them before.
The screenshots show off the environment in some several creepy rooms, including one with just a lone wheelchair in a wide open area and a room with a blood stained human in a destroyed area. Bethesda sure know how to create a good atmosphere– all of these screenshots give us the shivers.
The story of The Evil Within revolves around Detective Sebastian Castellanos who is randomly attacked and left knocked out. When he awakens, he’s surrounded by a strange world crawling with creepy monsters.
The Evil Within is out in August of this year. The exact dates are August 26th in North America and August 29th for Europe. It’s being released on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
