Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be getting a special limited edition PlayStation 4, and to celebrate, Konami has released a brand new video showing it off. In the one minute video, which you can check out below, the special edition PlayStation 4 is shown off, with a unique red and gold line color scheme. In addition, the emblem of the Diamond Dogs, which is the name of the team that Metal Gear Solid V protagonist Snake (a.k.a. Big Boss) commands and must rebuild from the ground up. In addition, the controller was shown off, with a metallic grey design and was held by a red metal hand, which was what Big Boss has in Metal Gear Solid V.
The 500 GB console will be available as part of a bundle, which will include the controller and copy of the Day One edition of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The limited edition has been confirmed for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with no word yet on a North American release. A standard edition which includes the console and a copy of Metal Gear Solid V will also be available and both are set to launch on the same day as the game, which is September 1st of this year.
