Platinum Games, the studio behind the Bayonetta series and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, has always been known for effortlessly combining stellar action gameplay with a thrilling soundtrack and flawless presentation. When Platinum announced that they were partnering with Activision to work on an action game based on the Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender’s The Legend of Korra series, fans were understandably very excited. In an interview by gaming website IGN, Activision has announced that the highly anticipated game is set for release on Steam and PlayStation Network on October 21st, with the Xbox Marketplace slated for the following day, October 22nd.
In the interview, producer Robert Conkey let loose a plethora of news surrounding the upcoming action slugfest, including a new pro-bending mode that can be unlocked after completing the game. Also making an appearance in the interview were voice talents Janet Varney (Korra) and David Faustino (Mako) alongside creators Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino to talk about the game as well as the Korra Book 3 finale and what to expect with the upcoming Book 4.
