Remastered Resident Evil Announced, Receiving 2015 Release

The internet has been going crazy over the announcement of the original Resident Evil being remade for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

The remake is going to be based off of the 2002 GameCube port and will have all the original things we all loved and admired, but updated textures and resolutions will be added in to give the whole game a complete makeover. It will also support 1080p for next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4) and PC. You will also get the choice of playing in the original 4:3 ratio or 16:9 widescreen.

If that choice isn’t enough for you, you’ll be able to choose between different control schemes. Capcom explained “The classic control scheme remains for fans of the original play style or there’s an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, utilizing the standards of the current generation of gaming. Both the control scheme and the display options can be toggled between at any time during gameplay.”

Resident Evil Remastered will be available in early 2015 for North America and Europe.
