Constantin Film has announced that it will be producing a TV series based on the “Mortal Instruments” and “Resident Evil” movies.
Constantin was present during Mipcom TV where they released Shades of Guilt. On behalf of Constantin, Martin Moszkowicz said there was plenty more on the way and it had to do with television. No official date was teased, but with the Resident Evil 6 film production delayed until next year, the TV series will not air until after the release of the next film. Alice could be coming back, but it is still very unclear if Milla Jovovich will be reprising her role.
Ed Decter who show runs Helix, has been hired to take the Mortal Instruments TV series. The first movie, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones released last year for the book to movie adaption. It didn’t do so well and, with City of Ashes green lit, the company has since decided it was probably best for the small screen after all. Actress Lily Collins will also be returning as Clary Fray in the TV series adaption. It is not known when the series will begin production or when it will air.
