As far as we know, this is only a rumor, and there was previous speculation that the film in question may focus on Yoda, or even Boba Fett. The only sure thing is the timeline of Star Wars Episodes 7, Episode 8 and Episode 9, which will release one every two years beginning next December. The filler between those years includes a couple of spinoff movies, rumored to be Han Solo, Boba Fett and Yoda. These solo films would fill the gaps on stories of some of our favorite characters.
Making Star Wars.net may have a handle on what is coming next, and it involves Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad.
“A code name for the production is: Luminac Industrial Goods. They go on to say there’s going to be a really interesting situation at Pinewood Studios: The filming will eventually overlap with some of Star Wars: Episode VIII. Who are they hearing the film is about? Han Solo. They went on to say the word around the current production at Pinewood is that Aaron Paul is looking to be attached to the first Star Wars spin-off film.”
The site acknowledges that Aaron Paul may or may not be playing a younger Han Solo and a casting announcement should be around the corner. MSW.com has only heard that Paul will be involved in some form in the project, and may not be the lead. Considering this, he is a little too old to be playing a young version of Han since it would be the much younger Han.
