The new new Spider-Man films need a director and here are a few of the names in the rumor mill. Jonathan Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies), Ted Melfi (St. Vincent), Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect), John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation), and Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre). Deadline also claims that the “tone they are searching for in the coming of age tale is John Hughes humor and emotion, plus all the superhero stuff.”
Hmm. Curious.
An actor for the new new Spider-Man will likely be determined before Sony’s first new film gets its director, since the character is expected to appear in Captain America Civil War.
