David Ayer will soon begin filming Suicide Squad in Toronto at Pinewood Studios. Pre-production is set to start in February and the director will have cameras rolling from mid-April through September. Filming will also be taking place in various parts of the city, so if you are in the area, stop in and watch the action unfold prior to all the CG animation.
Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are in the works of negotiating their final contracts, hopefully those will be set in stone by the end of the year.
The Suicide Squad is also known as Task Force X and they first appeared in Brave and the Bold No. 25. Characters include Deadshot, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn. Warner Bros is working on having the film in theaters on August 5, 2016. This movie is the first of many DC films that will be breaking on to the silver screen over the coming years, leading us into 2020.
