Kill la Kill was definitely one of the most popular animes this year, and with that comes one of the most popularly cosplayed characters-- the series' main protagonist, Ryuko Matoi.
Ryuko Matoi is the main character in the popular anime smash hit, Kill la Kill. She is the daughter of the late Isshin Matoi, who was transferred to a special academy called Honnoji Academy. She is in search for the twin of her red scissor blade. The person who holds that same scissor blade must be the one who murdered her father.
Ryuko is a strong and stubborn seventeen year old that has dark hair and usually wears a navy blue sailor’s uniform. However, she changes her appearance frequently.
Ryuko Matoi is one of the main characters of the series Kill la Kill. Searching for her father's killer who wields a blade identical to hers, she ends up enrolling at Honnōji Academy. A stubborn teen who has very little fears, she hunts tirelessly for the one with the purple scissor blade. Drawing power from Senketsu, a living sailor outfit that she can synchronize with, she is a formidable foe.
Ryuko Matoi is the 17 year old main protagonist of manga and anime Kill la Kill. She transferred to Honnoji Academy - where students often fight to the death - searching for the twin of her Scissor Blade, and the person who used it to murder her father. It's later revealed that she was thought to have died after a failed experiment to fuse her with Life Fibers. She later learns that she's the daughter of the series main antagonist, Ragyo Kiryuin, and little sister to Satsuki Kiryuin.
Most everyone knows who Ryuko Matoi is -- avid anime fan or not. She's a high school student by day and ass kicker by night, seeking out revenge on those who killed her father. It seems a bit heavy for a high schooler to take on, but Ryuko Matoi has made it her life mission. While in school she dons her typical uniform -- a white t-shirt, black mini skirt and sneakers, when fighting Ryuko Matoi takes on a whole new look. It's a whole lot sexier than her school girl look, but it seems to do the trick. With a chip on her shoulder, her fierce and stubborn nature, Ryuko is ready to take on anything and anyone that comes her way -- it doesn't hurt that her Scissor Blade lends a helping hand either.
Kill la Kill is taking sexy cosplay to a whole new level. The series producers Trigger has created an amazing Anime Series that is dominating and jaw droppingly sexy. I am truly impressed by the amount of Kill la Kill cosplayers I have been seeing over the last few months. The action packed series following Ryuko Matoi is impressive and I am not suprised about the amount of attention the show is getting. With the power of life fibers, Ryuko Matoi is set out to avenge her fathers death.
