On Tuesday, the orc-slaughtering mayhem broke out in full force as Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor leaped into our anticipating hands. In honor of the launch of Shadow of Mordor, we have been giving you all epic Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit themed cosplays every day this week. We have featured the likes of Tauriel and Aragorn, however now it is time to feature a character a little less human: Smaug the Terrible.
Let's celebrate The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies with a Galadriel Everyday Epic Cosplay! Galadriel, the Lady of Light, is as J.R.R Tolkein descibes as the "greatest of elven woman". Now, I know it is pretty difficult to rock a full length gown and cape in 2014 in everyday situations, so I took some pieces from her usual attire and turned it into a whimsical everyday cosplay. Head jewelry has become a HUGE part of fashion this year, which is perfect for Galadriel. Her headpiece is subtle, making the replica completely appropriate for many occasions. The sleeves were the reason I chose this dress. They give a whimsical, dreamy look to the dress, which reminded me of the one that Galadriel wears. I added a replica brooch, which you could attach to the dress in the same spot that Galadriel has hers. Fancy ear cuffs and ear wear are also huge in fashion this year, which makes these elf ear cuffs perfect.
The final chapter to The Hobbit trilogy is coming with The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies on December 17. For those who want to sit and watch all three together on December 15 in select IMAX theaters, the previous two installments will be readily available for enjoyment purposes as well as the Battle of Five Armies. The IMAX release will happen two days ahead of the release so this is an epic release waiting to happen.
Yesterday marked the launch of the highly-anticipated release of the Lord of the Rings franchise game, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. The game released with rave reviews and fans were certainly in an uproar with praise for the game's fantastic combat and interesting storyline. To mark the release of Shadow of Mordor, we have dedicated this week's cosplay theme to Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit. Today, we will be showcasing an incredible female Aragorn cosplay by the talented Ari Rubin.
