Resident Evil. What hasn't been said about of Capcom's survival horror franchise? Much like Doom, while Resident Evil isn't the first survival horror game (that honor goes to Alone in the Dark), it was the game that made the genre popular, and since it's release on March 22nd, 1996 in Japan (March 30th in the US, and August 1st in Europe), the series has spawned numerous sequels, spinoffs, ports, remakes, comics, manga, rides, restaurants, and even some movies, both CG and live action, with the live action movies not only being their own universe separate from the games, but are actually ending this year with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

In a conversation with Fox News, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that Grand Theft Auto Online’s success has been one of the best changes made to the established franchise. In fact, almost three fourths of the players who have bought and play Grand Theft Auto V also play GTA Online. "Just a few years ago when we put out a product, no matter how big, when we put out a hit we collected our money, we went onto the next," Zelnick stated. "Now what we're finding is we're creating recurrent consumer spending and we have the gift that keeps on giving."

Bioware Reveals Voice Commands and SmartGlass Integration for Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age: Inquisition creative director Mike Laidlaw has revealed in that both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Dragon Age: Inquisition will likely include voice commands similar to the voice commands featured in Mass Effect 3. Speaking in a recent interview with OXM Laidlaw revealed that, "We're expecting that the Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions will ship with a Kinect-enabled voice command feature, just like Mass Effect 3 did." Speaking in the same interview Dragon Age: Inquisition producer Cameron Lee then confirmed that the Xbox versions may implement SmartGlass functionality, but he not specific as to how. "It needs to make sense, of course, we want Inquisition to be an experience you can take with you everywhere - to work, the commute home, the living room, bed."
