Telltale Games Announces Mojang Collaboration in ‘Minecraft: Story Mode’

Telltale studios is on top of the industry right now with hit titles such as The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, and Borderlands. They have managed to reinvent the way we play games and the way stories are written almost on their own. So it is no surprise that when Telltale hints at new works, everybody waits with bated breathe. Earlier today Telltale’s PR Director, Job Stauffer, posted some relatively cryptic tweets about a “super secret surprise announcement.” Stauffer then clarified that this announcement was not in regards to any of Telltale’s existing projects, but that it would be a collaboration project with another studio as was Tales from the Borderlands.

Well isn’t it a day for epic surprise announcements! Telltale Games has officially announced they will be teaming up with Mojang studios for the release of “Minecraft: Story Mode.” The game will be a standalone product that takes place in the Minecraft world and following Telltale protocol will be a narrative-driven series where the players choices affect the end result. Episode one of Minecraft: Story Mode will release in 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
