The Fifth Element is a classic, and rightly so. The characters it created tugged at our hearts as well as wowing us with its costumes and SFX. It also built such a unique and quirky environment for them to thrive in, and because of that, it is not surprising that we find it in our top favourite films.
Leeloo is a big reason for the movie having such a good outcome. Her journey through the movie instantly makes us feel a sense of empathy for her and from her first appearance you can immediately sense her honesty and purity. Just by looking in her eyes and seeing her so lost and frightened, viewers couldn’t help but bond with Leeloo.
Here Tanuki-Tinka-Asai, a Russian cosplayer, portrays Leeloo off amazingly. Her cosplay looks so stunningly screen accurate that it seems as if Leeloo has really come alive. The attention to detail is very impressive and Tanuki-Tinka-Asai should be extremely proud of her creation.
