The Breakfast Club pushed into theaters on February 15, 1985 with five misfits; the Brain, the Athlete, Basket Case, Princess and the Criminal, seeking to find their place in this world. They entered Saturday detention as strangers, and left as “The Breakfast Club”.
The Breakfast Club 30th Anniversary will be presented by Fathom Events, Universal Pictures and BY Experience. The screenings will span through 430 theaters nationwide and will only take place for a limited time, March 26 and March 31 at 7:30 pm local time. Included for the special event will be interviews from the cast members Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall and John Kapelos. Filmmakers Diablo Cody, Amy Heckerling and Michael Lehman will also be featured in the interviews.
If there isn’t a theater near you, there will also be a special The Breakfast Club 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray/DVD available on March 10.
