Saria is the best friend of protagonist Link in the video game series The Legend of Zelda. She is a Kokiri girl who is considered to be beautiful by everyone in the village, she is revered as a motherly figure and someone that the villagers can go to for advice. The Village loves her because of her kind-hearted nature. She is even best friends with an outsider among the Kokiri, Link himself, which causes jealousy with some of the Kokiri, especially with Mido, who had developed a great fondness for Saria.
Saria, like the rest of her people, appears to be no older than ten years old. However, she may be small but she certainly is strong. She first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in 1998 and has been completely epic ever since. She is one of the seven sages, and her fame became so great that in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker a stained glass window can be found featuring Saria. Also in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link a town named after her appears.
