Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Announced

In this month’s issue of Game Informer, Activision is announcing the fifth installment in the classic skateboarding game series Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. Framed as a return to form to the PlayStation originals that reached iconic success, the game is being developed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year, with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions coming soon after. Initially teased by Tony Hawk, Activision, and developer Robomodo in a series of tweets, the announcement comes with a first look in Game Informer.

In addition to a focus on the classic gameplay that made the original two titles staples for any PlayStation library, Activision detailed that the game will feature new levels and objectives that can be completed both solo as well as with friends via online co-op and competitive play. Players will also be able create levels that can then be shared online. Tony Hawk will be joined by other pro skaters such as Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzales, Leticia Befoni, and Andrew Reynolds. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
