Simon Byron, from the developer Curve Digital, has announced today that the Ultratron will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on May 12. What is Ultratron? Simon has said it’s “when you take the spirit of Robotron 2084, but update it for the PlayStation generation.”
Ultratron is set in a world where the last human has been slain by evil killer robots. Then the player must take up arms as one of the last remaining humanoid battle droids. The mission is to avenge the human race, by boosting the droid with power-ups. With over 40 neon levels, players must navigate turrets, lasers, chasers, bombs, and bullets. Working their way to the four big bosses of the Apocalypse, Leiunitas, Bellium, Lues, and Letum.
Ultratron will be ready for players on PlayStation formats on May 12, and looks to bring back the feeling of the old arcade machines of classically nostalgic times.
