Sam Mendes earned a name for himself directing critical darlings like best picture-winner American Beauty. But now he’s directing James Bond movies, like 2012’s Skyfall and this year’s upcoming Spectre.
The seasoned director released this quick video blog wherein he shares some of his insights into filmmaking, the Bond franchise, and what fans can expect from Spectre in particular. It’s particularly fascinating to hear him talk about the direction the new film takes the superspy himself and the other characters he reestablished in Skyfall.
The video is short and sweet at only a minute and a half, but we’re willing to take any Spectre information we can get at this point. The film hits theaters November 6.
